I started seriously working on a new pair of socks last night. It’s Wendy’s pattern Double Eyelet Rib Socks, available for free on the Loopy Ewe web site here. I hadn’t cast these socks on specifically for this pattern, I was going to do a simple stockinette sock to see what I thought of the yarn, Fleece Artist Merino, but when I read the pattern I realized the number of stitches was the same (64) so I figured I’d give it a whirl, knowing I’m much more likely to stick with a patterned sock than a plain one. The pattern is very simple, and looks good, so I’m happy with it. Here’s what it looks like so far:
