The other thing I love about felted (or fulling, as I recall it’s more accurately called) is how quickly the items knit up. I get to work on really big needles with really big yarn.
The base is done, and the roof is nearing completion. So far so good!

A birdhouse – love the idea. I’m really looking forward to seeing it finished!
And I agree, felting is great … though I have yet to produce a single item that’s the size I had planned, lol.
