Thanksgiving

I’m going to pass on the Booking Through Thursday post today. It’s a great topic:

What book or author are you most thankful to have discovered?
Have you read everything they’ve written? Reread them?
Why do you appreciate them so much?

I don’t have a quick answer to it, and I wouldn’t want to short change my answer.

As I pointed out on Tuesday today is Thanksgiving, and I’d been pretty excited about it for a while. For my family, it’s a great low-key holiday – no pressure on what to buy for whom, just getting together and eating some good food.

This year our little family went downtown for our local Turkey Trot. They do a one mile kid’s run/stroll and a 5K. We learned about it last year, and wanted to go again this year. We went early for the one mile and Eliza ran while Chad & I walked.

She had a great time. Here she is after the race:

We then went to my parents, for some relaxing and fun. I didn’t take many pictures, but here’s one of the crudités that Eliza & I put together for munching:

I also got to spend some quality time knitting and watching the parade! If you celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you had a wonderful day!
