I’m not a big fan of finishing. So, when I finished the sleeves for Keelin, I put it to one side. I knew it needed blocking, and seaming, before I could start working on the rest of the sweater. I also know I tend to rush through it, and then I’m not happy with the final product. So, putting it to one side was my way of trying to prevent that from happening.
Today was a rainy day. I had planned to do some intense work in the living room, cleaning up some piles of stuff that have been getting out of hand.
However, as the day progressed, I realized my motivation was diminishing, and the sweater was calling my name. I blocked the pieces and started seaming. There’s more to do – I still have to seam up one sleeve and one side. I am actually rather proud of myself for not rushing through and finishing. Maybe tomorrow I can do a little more on it, but I want to do it right this time, not fast.
