I’ve begun the Here there be dragons socks. I’m trying the Louet Gems Yarn which I love so far. It’s the eggplant color, 100% Merino Wool fine/Sport Weight (100 gram – 225 yards). I started them last Saturday, and I’ve already turned the heel:
I’m using 2.75mm needles, and it’s going very quickly. I’m really enjoying this pattern so far!
If I can finish them in time, I want to enter these in the county fair.

Wow! I am in awe of knitters generally but these are amazing.
Aren’t these lovely? I’ve never tried knitting socks, but I really like this pattern. Perhaps I should take the plunge soon…!
